"Social media management and marketing was an unexpected passion that I have come to love. My creativity and communication skills have helped me figure out what I wanted to be. Helping small businesses thrive by managing and creating appealing social media platforms, connecting with more clientele, and project management is what I do."
- Haley, owner of Raid Media Management
"So flourish actually started as a very small idea within a local business that I manage. We felt like things were not going well with tools that we were using. And so we were trying to find a way to make two different things work together to get what we wanted. And after a few failed attempts, we were just like, this is not doing what we want. So I started looking into it and I thought, what if I can create what we are looking for? Instead of trying to get these companies to do what we want, what if I can create it? And so that kind of planted the seed of like, maybe I could just do this, for this company I work for. Like I want to be a support system for this business that I love. And as we got into it, I realized the magnitude of what we had figured out, and what I had created and what that could do for other businesses. And so I took that idea and thought, I'll just work with a few more people. And I met people like you (Haley) , and I was like this is great, I love this. And now it is where it is. And I am seeing how impactful it is for all businesses of all sizes. But it started with a very small idea to help one business, and now we are here."
"So, predominately flourish works with creative businesses. Kind of the heart and soul of the brand is things like hair salons, tattoo shops, social media managers; all the thing that you would probably associate with the word creative. But creative is also subjective. There are people that run their own businesses and work in all different fields, like business coaches and real estate agents that also benefit from the customizability of flourish. And there are things that creative businesses, like hair salons or like you (Haley) need, that can be very applicable to people who are also selling homes or running businesses and trying to offer coaching sessions online. So I want to stay within the demographic of people who are trying to build a brand that they're passionate about and who represents something that they love, but I don't think that there is a right or wrong way to be creative or have a creative business."
"So traditionally, I offer what you would associate with a typical platform or CRM, so customer relationship management. Things that you would typically associate with things like Square, Calendly, things like that. Those are extremely beneficial to a lot of people. A lot of people need booking, a lot of people need email marketing and payment processing and all of that. But there is also a lot more customizability within those things to create automatic actions based on how clients are interacting with you and your business. And so the power behind it is how you want your business set up. And so anything from membership offerings to automatic invoicing, to client communication, email marketing, the list goes on and on. But at its heart is built around you and your business and how you want it to operate for you."
"Yeah, this is a very pervasive issue in the industry of people like me speaking in terminology that other people don't understand. It keeps a barrier between these types of creative businesses and companies like mine. There's a divide because you don't know what I'm talking about, and I'm trying to explain how it would benefit you, and you don't care because you don't understand the basis of what I'm doing. So a CRM is customer relationship management. That's all is stands for. It is basically an acronym to describe the general idea of something online that puts all your things into one thing. SaaS just stands for subscriptions as a service. Those are really terms that don't need to be thrown around when you're speaking to businesses about how it can benefit them, because it doesn't matter. What matters is what it can do for them. So the way I describe it to people is that it's an online based platform, and this is what it can do for you. It doesn't matter how I make it run, it matters how I can make it work for you."
"So basically, I started this from nothing. It was just, let's make it happen. I had left my position with the police department and I needed something to happen quickly. So i was starting out charging very low, you know, service fees. But over the course of about six months, I was able to leave a part time job that I was doing and take this full time. And I really wanted to stay with some type of marketing offering and social media has always been something I've really been interested in and I've been really good at. So, I just took a leap of faith and started it."
"Probably helping out small business owners. A lot of times they just don't have the time to put into social media, which is about 5-15 hours a week, depending on how aggressive you want to be with it, and taking their goals that they see for their business and making that a reality through social media management."
"Sure! So, full service social media management is what it sounds like. So basically, the client has no responsibilities other than, you know, just being open and communication, when we need to do a content session, when they're wanting their content session. Full service is everything. It is 4-5 posts a week, can be more, can be less, depending on how aggressive the client wants to be. It includes a content session, or two. And on top of that, we also provide content sessions as a standalone. For example, I have a client that does a content session with me once a quarter, so she posts her own stuff on her social media pages because that fits in her budget a little bit better. And then I also offer some hybrid offerings, which are fully customizable because a client might be okay with handling the posting, but they want someone to put it together for them, or they want me to do all the content creation and all the editing, and then they post it or whatever fits what they are comfortable with mentally but also financially. And then website design and management is a newer offering, but that's definitely something that I think goes hand in hand because your social media should reflect your website and vice versa."
"Yeah, absolutely. So I know nothing about communicating properly with my clients, and I don't want to learn how to do that. So flourish saved me by setting up some funnels and kickback emails and my invoicing system and making the side of the business that I could honestly never touch or want to be involved with, flourish took that out of my hands and handles it the way that I think it was meant to be handled. For me as a creative, I really enjoy making social media content, managing the content, etc. I don't like dealing with invoices or contracts or 'hey, you didn't pay your invoice this month' or, you know, staying on top of clients when they do a first discovery call with me. flourish takes that responsibility away, and it's been super fluid, and I really enjoy having that contact with someone that's not a 1-800 number and someone that I actually know and trust with my business, because a lot of times people are getting scammed with different CRM platforms, and this is not one of them. So, I love flourish."
